Obtain an IT position with Cisco, Win 7, SharePoint and Exchange classes

A recent article in IT World shows that IT hiring continues to rise.  Overall, IT employment grew 3.4% in 2011 and 1.5% in 2010.  This is great news for anyone looking to get into it the IT field, or for those who are already in and are looking for a new position.  I wanted to outline a few key classes that you can start out with here at Babbage Simmel to keep you on track.

ICND1 and ICND2 are great core classes for those new to the networking field.

ICND1 Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices part 1

Whether your goal is to familiarize yourself with Cisco technology or to become a Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert, CCNA1 and CCNA2 are the place to start.

This course delivers essential information needed to pass the CCNA certification exams, and includes comprehensive hands-on reinforcement to ensure that you add skills as well as knowledge. If you are new to Cisco, CCNA2 prepares you for the tasks you will face on the job. This course prepares you for Cisco Exam 640-816 ICND2.

M-10135 Configuring, Managing, and Troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange Server 2010

This five-day, instructor-led course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to configure and manage a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 messaging environment. This course does not require previous Exchange Server experience, but does require that students have significant experience in managing Windows Server and Active Directory services or Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS). This course will teach you how to configure Exchange Server 2010, as well as provide guidelines, best practices, and considerations that will help you optimize your Exchange server deployment.
